Servant Partners trip to USA

Hello Friends,

Just a quick update to fill you in on the latest Davies news:

We enjoyed the Soccer World Cup to the fullest here in South Africa, it felt as though we were personally hosting it ! : ) Several friends came and stayed with us and there were many a game viewed at our house! It was an incredible experience and brought many people together. We hope you received the Journey of Hope newsletter that shared about our work in South Africa which was connected to the World Cup. It was titled, "World Cup stirs hope for racial healing in South Africa."

The world cup in now over and we all have to return to reality.

We are currently in the process of buying a house and moving closer to Zandspruit, the community we work in, which has been stressful to say the least. There has been a lots of running around, chasing after people and making sure that work the seller agreed to do gets done right. In the midst of thinking about moving we are getting our family ready to head back to US for a Servant Partners Team Leader Meetings and a mini Furlough.  We are looking forward to the time but getting there will be an adventure with 2 kids. Hopefully the plane can contain Keira's energy :).

We will be in the Northwest from the 3rd of Aug to the 20th of September.

Here are the specifics:
Aug 3-8 in LA area
Aug 8-14th SP team leaders conference in Big Bear
Aug 16-22 in Seattle area (22nd visit Emerald City Bible Fellowship)
Aug 23-25 Guided Retreat for Trevor and Chrissy
Aug 26-31st Seattle Area
Sept 1-12th Portland Area (5th visit Irvington Covenant Church)
Sept 12th-19th Corvallis Area (12th visit Calvin Presbyterian 19th visit Faith Christian Fellowship: Both of these services will have gatherings to connect further)
Sept 19th Return to Seattle
Sept 21th Leave for South Africa

We would just like to ask for your prayers for the many meetings, speaking engagements as well as the dynamics of traveling with 2 young children.
Although we would love to see everybody time just won't allow it, but we will do our best to organize a few small gatherings so we can catch up with as many as possible.

The adventure continues...
