Keira the other day as I was putting her to bed I asked her " Do you know Mommy loves you?" She said " Yes and Daddy loves me and Jesus loves me. Jesus Loves Keira, and He has a picture of Jesus and Keira. I have Daddy and I have Jesus, I have 2 Daddy's. Jesus is my Daddy too!" It felt like Holy ground. Keira loves Jesus, and talks about Him often. She told a woman at the gym that she knows Jesus, she met Him at church and that this woman should come to church with her!
I woke her from a nap yesterday and she sat up and said " Here you go" handing me an imaginary something, I asked what it was and she said " Oh, its Honey. Jesus and I are just having a pic-nic!"
In her sleep Keira was hanging out with Jesus and invited me to sit at a "table" with them. Here my daughter is communing with Jesus in her own way.
My daughter invited me to spend time with her and Jesus!
I think it is particularly striking to me because it is hard as a busy Mom to have those special "quiet times" the way they were BC ( Before Children). But being with Jesus now is being with Keira and teaching her while she teaches me.
I just wanted to share a glimpse of what ministry is like in our home.

Beautiful post Chrissy.
How absolutely amazing! I am left speachless!!
Oh, Chrissy!! Hearing about Keira and Jesus not only warms my heart, but is profoundly encouraging to me! I'm right at the beginning of a very challenging journey for me of learning how to speak up about my faith, to be unafraid to tell people about my Jesus. Hearing about such a genuine and innocent love of Christ being the impetus far sharing about him seems so...right. This is a very special picture...and very different than the usual picture I get of why and how we should talk about Jesus. Thank you so much for sharing! And thank you Keira for loving Jesus! That blesses me!
Your post truly inspires me and it is such a reminder about how God is at work in and through our little ones! I love you guys and miss the smiling face of your little Keira! :)
Yes, just so beautiful. I wash JUST telling melinda today how it is so tough to preach the gospel to people when your whole day revolves around a little person, keeping them safe, helping them learn, and just "being" with them. This post reminds us moms that we can preach the gospel to our children everyday (what more joy can that bring!) but even better they can preach it back to us just when we need it!
Wow! What an amazing story! Chrissy, I am so happy for you guys. You make a beautiful family! I think the last time I saw you was at your wedding!!! Can you believe that?!
